Canadians add seven Advanced horses to the ranks – Go Canada! Events

The Canadian roster of Advanced horses has just deepened with the addition of seven who proved themselves this weekend at Richland Park Horse Trials in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Six Canadian duos upgrading to Advanced at Richland Events

Some seriously exciting news for Canadian Eventing…this weekend, at Richland Park Horse Trials in Kalamazoo, Michigan, six Canadian horse/rider combinations will be making their Advanced upgrade. After such a strong group of horses and riders delivered solid and consistent performances for the selectors to choose from for the 2015 Pan American Games,  it looks like this group is moving up to the next level. Get to know Canada’s top Junior rider – April Simmonds 2015 Pan Am Games,Canadian Eventing,Riders

April Simmonds (CAN) is making her mark on the international leaderboards despite the fact that she is only 17 years old and technically a ‘Junior’ rider. She placed 216th out of 3587 riders on the Eventing – FEI World Eventing Athlete Rankings which puts her in the top 6% of all the Eventers in the world. She was the 6th highest ranking Canadian, making her one of the handful of Canadians to ever crack the top 10 before their 18th birthdays.
