A few weeks ago, I saw a Tweet from Joe Meyer (NZL) that said his friend, Dan Jocelyn (NZL), was looking for a horse to ride at the Wellington Eventing Showcase. I immediately thought that my horse Devil Munchkin (aka Kermit) would be suitable and within a few minutes I gave Joe a call. I told Joe that Kermit was only 8-years-old but he had two CCI2* completions on his record and Joe told me that he would come out the following morning to test ride Kermit. Top five predictions for $75,000 Wellington Eventing Showcase

Next weekend, Eventing fans from around the world will be tuning in to the Wellington Eventing Showcase, in Florida. There will be 35 world-class pairs from four nations vying for $75,000 in prize money. The competition will commence with dressage, on Friday, February 5th. The competition then continues with the show jumping and cross-country phases the following day, Saturday, February 6th. The event will run at the Advanced level. At the inaugural event in 2015, more than 2,000 spectators enjoyed a spectacular view of the cross-country phase from the hill beside the derby field, as many were introduced to eventing for the first time.
