  There was strong engagement from the Canadian equestrian community during the 2017 EC Board of Directors nomination period. A total of 33 qualified candidates provided a nomination package by the close of the nomination period on June 1, 2017. Ladies sweep the podium for the first time ever in the Event Rider Masters series

  Sarah Cohen (GBR) is celebrating her first Event Rider Masters (ERM) win, topping the podium at Leg 2 of the Event Rider Masters at Internationales Wiesbadener PfingstTurnier in Germany. Drama unfolded right up to the very last horse and rider combination on the demanding Wiesbaden cross country course in the unique grounds of Biebrich Palace, significantly shuffling the final podium positions.  It was the first time ever that women occupied all three places on the podium, with Cohen scooping the 19,000 Euro (£16,000) first prize at the inaugural contintental leg of the series. An impressive 67% of the horses sold, achieving an average sale price of €12,234. The top price getter was Lot 18 – Gurtera Jimmy Clover, this talented 4-year-old gelding sold for €23,000 to Michael McGrath. Gurtera Jimmy Clover is a full brother to Nicola Wilson’s (GBR) 2014 World Equestrian Games horse, Annie Clover.
