Robyn Zimmer – Writer

Growing up with Maureen Walters as her mom it was as if she was a working student with a coach, judge, steward, rider, Equine Canada Coaching Evaluator and pony club examiner, horse lover, every day for 38 years.  She was able to gain daily hands on knowledge, experience, lessons, and observation of not just from one perspective but from many, many different perspectives.  For example her mom would say “Remember Robyn to ride your 15 meter circles exact or even a little small as from a judges’ perspective……”  To be submersed in this education has been invaluable.  Robyn still learns from her mom every day.
She was very fortunate to have worked with Olympic Short listed Rider (in Eventing and Dressage) Joni Lynn Peters.  With Joni she was able to tack horses for her, clean tack, ride for several hours per day with her and received daily feedback.  Robyn had the opportunity to observe and learn her system, techniques, methods, and many interesting plans, objectives and goals of a rider with the continuous focus of Olympics/Top levels of riding. She is honoured to have been able to work and learn from Joni.
Robyn is a wife and mother, plus she is a Licensed Practical Nurse, she has a Certificate for Palliative Care and University studies in Kinesiology. She currently teaches at Woodside Riding School. She is a Certified Equine Canada Competition Coach and National Examiner for Canadian Pony Club (A). Erika Falkenberg – Writer

Erika Falkenberg, based in Central Florida, has been riding since she was 6-years-old, but has only been Eventing since the summer of 2013. She started out riding Western, but always knew she wanted to jump. After dabbling in the Hunter Jumper ring for a short time, Erika found her place in the horse world with her discovery of Eventing. She currently owns a Thoroughbred, Duke, who is learning the ways of the sport along with her. With just as much passion for that as she has for writing, Erika hopes to continue both for as long as she can.
