What did the Eventing world think of the 2018 Burghley drama? Check out last week’s poll results

Last week, we polled eventers from around the world on their opinions regarding the 2018 Land Rover Burghley CCI4* and all the drama/action that went with it. Over 2,400 people responded to the poll giving us a great idea of what eventers REALLY thought about Burghley.

Check out the poll results below to see how people’s opinions on Burghley differ…

Are you part of the majority or minority?

1. What did you think of Andrew Nicholson running over Christopher Bartle on the way into show jumping?

2. Who did you really want to win Burghley this year?

3. Only four horses made time on cross-country. Was the course too hard?

4. Oliver Townend finished 2nd and 12th. He is world #1. Did the British team selectors F-ck up not putting him on the 2018 WEG team?

5. Only nine pairs scored below a 30 in dressage. Did the judges mark too hard or were the tests not that great?

6. Only one CCI4* rookie completed this year’s Burghley – Hazel Towers riding Simply Clover. Would you attempt Burghley as your first CCI4* event ever?

7. Andrew Nicholson isn’t going to 2018 WEG either after finishing 3rd on Swallow Springs. Is the New Zealand federation making a mistake by not fixing the rift?

8. After Mark Todd was in the lead after dressage, did you cry a little when he fell off of Kiltubrid Rhapsody on cross-country?

9. Which cross-country jump from this year’s course scared you the most?

10. Did you even watch the live stream?
