Cross-country jumps from 50 years ago that wouldn’t be on course today

Over the years, cross-country jumps and the entire sport of Eventing continues to evolve. The long format is gone, frangible fences have become popular, jump faces are becoming more ascending, etc. Whether or not the changes have been a good thing for the sport or not, there is no doubt that the courses riders were jumping 50 or so years ago would not be considered acceptable today.
