Happy Birthday to us! Feel free to send gifts…
It is hard to believe that three years have whizzed by since I launched www.eventingconnect.today. This was an idea that I came up with to bring a different angle to the sport of Eventing that I am obsessed with. I have been so lucky to have the support of great contributors over the past few years. First and foremost, I need to thank AJ Dyer. She was one of the original founders of the legendary Eventing Nation and her guidance has been instrumental to our success here at Eventing Connect as well. I continue to learn from AJ’s advice and articles as she is the consummate horse woman and OTTB expert. Christa Dillon has been like our Irish good luck charm. From Ireland, she continues to write articles that make our readers laugh, cheer and cry in spite of it all. Ema Klugman has been an invaluable contributor with Pony Club credentials and recently riding at the Advanced she continues to bring a competitive point of view from a young rider. Lynn Travers is our newest writer and as an adult amateur, our readers are loving her unique perspective as she conquers Eventing as a weekend warrior.
There have been many other writers that have shared their stories and perspectives with you and thank you to all of them. I know that everyone has a story and we have made a point of trying to share as many as possible to inspire other riders and to enlighten fans. Two of our most successful rider series are:
I am thankful that you tune in every day to allow us to share our point of view. I know we have pissed you off sometimes and we continue to learn what topics you enjoy and which ones you don’t give a rat’s ass about. We are grateful that many of you share our wicked sense of humour and you know our policy, if you don’t have a sense of humour…best you don’t read our Top 10 lists.
We are very proud of the topics that we share that help people with their riding and we are sorry that sometimes our writer’s have made you cry. I never tire of finding the stories and videos each day to educate and entertain you. I love my job and thank you for allowing me to do it.
If you want to send any of us a little birthday gift, all the writers here would be happy to accept 5 and 6 year-olds with upper level potential. In the meantime, here are a few of the stories that our readers have shared the most in case you missed them.
Thank you again for your support.
