Defending his lead after round one on Friday night of the Horseware Indoor Eventing Challenge Canadian, Tik Maynard on Dutch Times laid down another fast round and only one rail to break Waylon Roberts’s four-year winning streak.

Tik is only the third person to be able to claim the crown in this class that has been running for nine years. Waylon Roberts holds the record for winning it seven times. Penny Rolands won the title in 2009.

Colleen Loach and Free Spirit were only trailing the lead by tenths of a second heading into round two. However, their bid for the title ended when Colleen was launched from her horse at the bank after it slipped going up and had a bit of a pause before it jumped off. Colleen got up and walked off the course on her own accord.

Holly Jacks and More Inspiration had a stellar round and the crowd erupted into an absolute frenzy when she was the only rider to keep up all the rails tonight. Holly placed second and was beaming ear to ear.

Jessica Phoenix put in another safe and flowing round on Abbey GS and two nights of consistent riding landed them in third place.

Ian Roberts on Copper Cove parted ways after a missed distance but Ian was up on his feet and walked off the course in no time.
