Bramham International Horse Trials took place on June 12-15th this year, marking the seventh time Bramham has hosted a CIC3* event. Although a CCI3* division has been running at Bramham since 1988, the CIC3* was only added in 2009. Following the cancellation of Chatsworth International Horse Trials in 2009 due to incredibly wet weather, there were a number of competitors who found themselves short of an international run that spring. Since its inception, the Bramham CIC3* has had many of the world’s top riders contest here to win this prestigious event. Helmet cam with Ingrid Klimke winning Luhmuhlen CCI4* – VIDEO Break

  Ingrid Klimke won her second CCI4* at Luhmuhlen last weekend aboard FRH Escada, an 11-year-old, Hanovarian. FRH Escada JS was the first mare in history to win the Luhmuhlen CCI4*, and she made it look easy, finishing on her dressage score of 32.7.  Ingrid has partnered with SAP, a software company that has developed analytics software with the aim to enhance riders’ performance. With the use of a helmet cam, heart rate monitors on rider and horse, and GPS capabilities, the software can monitor speed data, time gaps and heart rates.   Over the weekend all eyes were on the Luhmuhlen CCI4*, but it was not the only FEI event taking place. Fernhill Sport Horses Kilguilkey International Horse Trials 2015 in Ireland, ran a CIC2*and a CIC1*, as well as some national level classes. Great Meadows CIC3* – VIDEO Break

    Over the weekend some of the best riders in North America contested at the Great Meadows International $30,000 CIC3*. Jennie Brannigan (USA) lead wire-to-wire aboard Cambalda, a 13-year-old, Irish Sport Horse, gelding, only adding 7.6 cross-country time penalties to her 39.8 dressage score to clinch the win. Second place went to Lynn Symansky (USA) with Donner a 12-year-old, Thoroughbred, gelding, and rounding out third place was Colleen Rutledge (USA) on Covert Rights, a 9-year-old, Thoroughbred cross, gelding. Luhmühlen show jumping – VIDEO Break

    Show jumping day at the Luhmühlen CCI4* proved influential with only nine pairs delivering clear rounds out of the 25 who jumped. The winner was Ingrid Klimke (GER) on FRH Escada JS, and they made history as FRH Escada JS is the first mare to win the CCI4* at Luhmühlen. Finishing only .1 penalty points behind them in second place was Jonelle Price (NZL) on Faerie Dianimo and in third place was Michael Jung (GER) on La Biosthetique-Sam FBW.       After cross-country day at the Luhmühlen CCI4* today there has been a notable shuffle on the leaderboard. Dressage leaders, Julien Despontin (BEL) and Waldano 36, took it slow and steady on cross-country to drop down to 19th place. The new leader is Ingrid Klimke(GER) riding FRH Escada JS after putting in a fast clear round, to sit on a 32.7.
