Obviously the reason eventers all own Jack Russells or some form of a dog, is because they put them to work. Who needs working students?
If you are trying to figure out what to get the horse lover that has everything for Christmas, just get them another horse. There is no limit to how many horses a person can love – it does not matter if it is their first horse or their 100th, their reaction will be this priceless.

Yesterday, we brought you 1967 Burghley. Today we are revisiting Badminton 2014 as it was full of thrills and even more spills. Mary King wins for the best save – stickability and keeping her cool in the most precarious positions. It is easy to see why she is the last woman to top the FEI World Rankings.

New version of drag racing: Getting dragged through the mud by a horse unfortunately happens to the best of riders and grooms/parents/friends, who sacrifice themselves and never let go of the lead rope… But sometimes people willingly get dragged through the mud by a horse at high speeds for a shot at $50,000.
I can’t think of an eventer that does not own a dog. So I think we can all appreciate our other four legged friends and the humour they bring to our lives . Time to take a break in your busy day for a little dog naughtiness. Of course, it always funnier when it is not your dog….
